Following the Cowboys’ 42–10 loss to the 49ers in Week 5, no player has been fully absolved of blame, and this apparently includes wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. On the latest episode of FS1’s Undisputed, former NFL cornerback and current analyst Richard Sherman was blunt with his feelings about Lamb.
Skip Bayless asked Sherman whether Lamb has been overrated, to which the former All-Pro gave an emphatic yes to the idea if the Dallas receiver is considered a “bonafide” No. 1 wideout.
“If you think he’s a bonafide, lining up out there at [No.] 1? Then, yeah, that’s overrated,” Sherman said.
Bayless said he does think Lamb is a clear-cut No. 1, leading to Sherman continue his breakdown.

“So you’re saying he’s in a conversation with Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Ja’Marr Chase, Stefon Diggs, A.J. Brown, Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin and Mike Evans? Then you’re not watching it,” Sherman said.
The former 49ers star then placed him into a tier just below that group, one that features a number of talented wide receivers like Jaylen Waddle, Garrett Wilson Jr. and Tyler Lockett. Sherman praised all of those players, but pointed blame at the Cowboys for opting to part ways with Amari Cooper as well, stating that both he and Lamb could have 1,500 yards per season if still together.
